Sauna Guidelines

Before your Sauna Session:

  • Heat the Sauna: Press the Power button, then adjust the temperature. It will take about 15 minutes to reach 130 degrees. You can also set the timer on the right side of the control panel.
  • Prepare your seating: Lay down a white towel on the sauna bench. This will absorb sweat and make your seating more comfortable.
  • Bring a sweat towel: Use a thin towel or washcloth to dab away excess sweat during your session.

During your Sauna Session:

  • Listen to your body: Limit your session to 30 minutes or less, but prioritize how you feel. If you experience any discomfort, dizziness, or nausea, end your session and cool down.
  • Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water before, during (if possible), and after your sauna session to avoid dehydration.
  • Relax and unwind: This is your time to de-stress! Read a book, listen to calming music, or simply meditate. Suggestion: Ask Alexa to play “Spa Music”. To connect to the Bluetooth, ask Alexa to connect to Bluetooth, and the music playing on Alexa will play in the sauna.

Important Reminders:

  • Please consult your doctor: Before using an infrared sauna, especially if you have any underlying health conditions or concerns, please consult with your doctor to make sure it’s safe for you.
  • Avoid alcohol and drugs: Alcohol and drugs can dehydrate you and impair your judgment. Avoid them before or during your sauna session.
  • Start gradually: If you’re new to infrared saunas, begin with a low temperature (around 110°F) for a short session (10-15 minutes). Gradually increase the duration and temperature as you get accustomed to the heat.

TV Guidelines

Powering On the TV:

The television can be turned on using the power button located on the small black remote control.

TV Volume:

To ensure a respectful environment while Pilates classes are in session, please keep the television volume at or below level 8.

Headphone Usage:

You can connect your Bluetooth headphones or AirPods to the TV for private listening. Here’s how:

  • Access the TV’s settings menu (a gear icon on the far right of the Home Screen).
  • Select “Controllers or Bluetooth Devices”.
  • Choose “Add Bluetooth Device” and follow the on-screen instructions to pair your headphones.
  • Once paired, the TV will remember your device for future use.

Noise Considerations:

Please be mindful of the noise generated by running on the treadmill while a Pilates class is in session. The vibrations and sounds while running can be disruptive to those participating in the class.

Additional Notes:

Using YouTube-guided workouts is a great way to work out on the bike or treadmill. I like Sunny Health and Fitness for the treadmill and Gabriella Guevara for spin workouts.
