Carrie Meador Pagès
Owner, Certified Senior Pilates instructor
Carrie is a classically trained ballet dancer and teacher who discovered the endless benefits of Pilates while rehabilitating an ankle injury. She was certified in Charleston, SC through the PilateSystem in 2000 and in 2002 opened In Balance Pilates Studio in Wilmington, NC. Carrie founded the In Balance Pilates Certification (formerly Coastal Carolina Pilates Certiifcation) in 2004 and specializes in teaching future instructors the traditional Pilates method in a simple, easy to understand format. Known for her enthusiasm and energy, Carrie looks forward to a long career teaching her personal clients in Wilmington as well as future instructors throughout North and South Carolina.
Carrie's love for Pilates, her enthusiastic teaching style, and her dedication to the tradition of Pilates are qualities that help her clients see results and keep them coming back for more.

Amy McIver, PT, DPT
Certified Pilates instructor
Amy McIver, DPT graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2004. She was initially introduced to the pilates method as a teenage ballet dancer in New York City. Currently, she practices physical therapy locally at several clinics where she incorporates the principles of pilates with almost every client. In August of 2007 she started In Balance Physical Therapy to help prevent and treat injuries for current clients of In Balance Pilates. She also completed her Pilates certification through the In Balance Pilates Certification (formerly Coastal Carolina Pilates Certiifcation)n which included 220 hours of practical work, observation, and apprenticeship on the work and equipment of Joseph H.
