Loren Rippy
Certified Pilates Instructor
As a collegiate athlete, Loren swam for the University of the South-Sewanee, a NCAA DIV III school. After graduation Loren
continued to swim and began competing in triathlons. To help strengthen her core and gain muscle strength Loren turned to Pilates
in 2004. Four years later while going through physical therapy for a back injury, she recognized the true benefits of Pilates. She realized that
regardless of the level of exercises, beginner to advanced, if performed with proper concentration and control while focusing on breathing, Pilates would provide lifelong benefits you could never obtain with other forms of exercise. Loren went on to complete the In Balance Pilates Certification program in April 2010. The program included 220 hours of practical work, observation, and apprenticeship on the work and equipment of Joseph H. Pilates.
The challenge of analyzing each client's body and interpreting the exercises for each individual is what Loren enjoys most. "No one body is the same. I love to witness the changes my clients experience. They learn to use their strengths to improve their weaknesses and ultimately find a balance.
